The MCY Marlins

The MCY Marlins are a year round YMCA swim team under the umbrella of the National YMCA organization and the Marlins are a part of the Southwest Ohio Y Swim League.  Teams/swim meets in our League range from Northwest Ohio ~ Auglaize-Mercer County east to the Springfield Y and at least one meet out of our League in Columbus during the short course season, also several meets in the Greater Cincinnati area and into Kentucky.  Most swim meets are no more than an hour drive and less.  

The Marlins are a developmental age group program for swimmers age 6-18, plus National Swimmers attending the National YMCA meet held each season.    Marlin swimmers come from all over the Greater Miami County area and including other close counties.    Prior "summer swim team" experience is encouraged before joining the Marlins, at least one summer swim season is recommended to know what to expect from being a part of a swim team.  

The Marlins Short Course Winter Season begins in September and runs through April each year.    The team currently has approximately 125 swimmers.    We also have a summer Long Course Season beginning early May through July each summer.   The Long Course team is a smaller team of year-round swimmers and many who are preparing for the High School winter season, this Long Course team is for those 11 and up only.
