Letter from Coach Edgar....

Good Morning/Afternoon all Parents and Swimmers,

For those of you who may not know me, my name is Edgar Caraballo and I am the current Makos silver group coach. I have some big news I’d like to share with everyone! I have just recently gotten a job at an engineering company, called Salvagnini, down in Hamilton, Ohio! I don’t start at this job until after the J.O. meet, so I will be coaching until the end of this short course season. However, I will not be returning for the long course/ short course season because my new job will require me to travel most of the time.

I would just like to thank everyone for giving me the opportunity to work with your kids over these past 5 years, it’s really been a lot of fun and a huge learning experience for both the kids and myself. I would also like to thank the parents for all the support you have given both me and this team. I know it’s been a crazy couple of years, switching through all of these new head coaches, but I’m confident when I say that coach Chris is definitely going to have a big impact on this team. We are all lucky to have him, and as always, he has my full support.

Swimmers, I’d like to thank all of you for all of the memories, both the good and the bad. I first took this job to help new and old swimmers alike not make the same mistakes I did early on in their swimming career. Although it might have felt like I’ve been trying to kill you every night at practice, there is no doubt in my mind that you guys have picked up a thing or two and are on a good path. So, thank you again, for all the laughs, jokes at each others’ expense, the attention to detail, the good days, and the bad days. Your smiles and improvements as both swimmers and as people has made this job more than worth it. I hope you all continue to work hard, focus on your technique, and constantly try to be better than you were yesterday.

I hope this team continues to grow and improve, I already know this coaching staff is phenomenal and will do their best to make it happen. I wish nothing but success for everyone! Thanks again for letting me work with you all and for all the good memories!

Thank you

Edgar Caraballo

I wanted to share this with you all and take a minute to say "Thank You" to Coach Edgar. You have given your all to this progams and these kids to get them to be the best they can be. You will always be welcome on the pool deck and will always be a part of this team. Best wishes on your new career and your future. #MAKOSSTRONG  #ONETEAMONEGOAL

Thank you again,

Coach Chris and The Makos!
