Ryleigh Brown Awarded SW Ohio High School Classic Scholarship

On Sunday January 15th, SPY Swimmer and Kenton Ridge High School Student-Athletes, Ryleigh Brown, was one of the six female recipients of the William Keating Friends of the Classic Foundation Scholarship. The Friends of the Classic Foundation Scholarship is awarded to six girls and six boys, all participants and seniors in the Southwest Ohio High School Classic Swim Meet which is the USA's largest high school swim meet. Ryleigh was recognized at the awards ceremony during the Sunday evening Finals meet at Keating Natatorium in Cincinnati. Shout out to Ryleigh’s Kenton Ridge High School Coaches who are SPY Alumni: Head Coach Heather Shaffer and Assistant Coach Mickey McNeil. Both coaches as well as SPYNATION are extremely proud of this young woman.
The Friends of the Classic Foundation grants scholarships to outstanding seniors who have competed in the Southwest Classic meet. These seniors who receive these scholarships exemplify the highest standards in sportsmanship, academic achievement, community service, and outstanding leadership. Some of our past SPY kids receiving this award are Reese Turner, Jaden Humphrey, Badin Brewer, Rylie Turner, Calvin Wise, Laramie Reed, and Natasha Wahl.
Ryleigh was chosen for their achievements and successes in academics, extra-curricular activities, service to the community, and swimming. She truly reflects the YMCA values.
