It's official! On National Signing Day, November 13, Angelina officially committed to swim at Purdue University. Angelina was celebrated by her family, coach, friends and teammates. AESC is super proud of all of her accomplishments and can't wait to see the impact she makes at Purdue! Angelina will be competing and representing AESC in December at the Toyota U.S. Open.

Congratulations to all the athletes who competed at the 2019 Speedo Sectionals this week! Many athletes achieved Personal Bests and new time standards, broke Oklahoma LSC records, and several qualified for national level championship meets! And for the icing on the cake, our athletes became the first team from Oklahoma Swimming to win a Section VIII Sectionals Championship!!! Overall, #TeamAESC beat out 31 teams from Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri and Arkansas for the combined team title. Our women placed 5th out of 45 women’s teams, and our men finished 3rd...

“It’s officially official.” Wednesday, November 14 was National Signing Day.  Elite swimmer, Hanna Newby officially committed to swim at Auburn, University.  Her friends and teammates celebrated the ocassion with her and shared in her excitement for the future.  Newby  will be competing in Winter Nationals in Greensboro, North Carolina later this month, where she will be aiming to qualify for Olympic Trials.

USA Swimming recently released the 2019 Futures Championship standards, For the women, 9 of the 14 individual events have faster time standards compared to 2018 (both LC and SC). For the men, 7 of the 14 individual events have faster SC time standards in 2019, while the LC time standards are the same from 2018. All 2019 relay time standards remain the same from 2018. USA Swimming voted to ban the use of tech suits by 12-and-younger swimmers on Saturday at the United States Aquatic Sports (USAS) Convention in Jacksonville, Florida. The board made one amendment to the decision, to allow the use of tech suits to 12-and-younger swimmers who have qualified for the USA Junior National Championships or the National Championships. The rule goes into effect on Sept. 1, 2020.
