Tori Hollen broke both the Oklahoma Masters swimming Citizen and State Records in the Women's 18-24 age group for the 400 LC Meter Freestyle (5:14.06) and the 200 LC Meter Butterfly (2:57.00) at the 2022 Oklahoma Memorial State Championship on August 20, 2022.

USA Swimming announced Ryan Healy, as one of the the names of 102 up-and-coming athletes selected for the prestigious 2022 National Select Camp, to be held in-person at the United States Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The camps will run October 6-9, 2022 (girls) and October 13-16, 2022 (boys). John Brown, Coach and Owner of KMSC, was honored by his peers as 2022 Oklahoma Swimming LSC Senior Coach of the Year. The Senior Coach of the Year is recognized for their work with senior swimmers (15 and over). This award was bestowed on John by his fellow Oklahoma Swimming Coaches. Congratulations, John!

U.S. Open qualifier Ryan Healy of Edmond, OK has announced his decision to swim for the University of Michigan beginning in the 2023-24 season. Healy swims club with the King Marlin Swim Club and he is entering his senior year at Edmond North High School. Read more

Ryan Healy broke the 400 Meter IM records for both the 15-16 and Open age groups, placing fourth in the event at the 2002 Speedo Junior National Championsips in Irvine, CA. He also broke the 15-16 200 M IM LSC Record with a 2:05.43. Congratulations, Ryan.

King Marlin Swim Club won the combined 14 and Under Team Title at the 2022 Oklahoma Swimming Long Coach Championships held July 22-24, 2022 at the Mitch Park YMCA in Edmond, OK. KMSC came in first wtih a total of 3,445 points. Jenks Trojan Swim Club placed second with 2,541.50 points and American Energy finished in third with 1,955.5 points. Congratulations to KMSC for winning the OKS Oklahoma Short-Course State Championship’s 14 and under title on March 5-7! This achievement marks the 13th straight title for the team. The state championship was held at two locations – Mitch Park for West teams and Jenks for East teams – and results from each location were combined. This format reflected the many challenges the team, state and our sport faced during the Covid-19 pandemic. KMSC senior swimmer Kate Janzen made news this week with two major annoucements. First, USA Swimming named Janzen to the 2019-2020 Scholastic All-America team. Janzen is one of 1,087 swimmers nationally and six swimmers in Oklahoma to earn this distinction. Swimmers must have a 3.5 GPA in high school and have at least one Junior National qualifying time to be eligible. (Read the full article here.) USA Swimming announced that KMSC parent and official Greg Harkins will join the newly-formed Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council. The Council, which includes 22 members, is one of two leadership groups formed as part of USA Swimming's long-term plan "to provide expertise and strategic guidance to USA Swimming staff and swimming leaders regarding diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI)."
