Mississauga Aquatic Club’s New Head Age Group Coach
We are excited to announce Nail Kaddache as our new Head Age Group Coach! Nail’s primary responsibility will be coaching High-Performance Age Group West and he will assist with the Junior National and High-Performance programs. As a swimmer Nail was a finalist at the Canadian Championships in the 200 butterfly and 400IM and represented his native Algeria on their National Team for 5 years. He has coached with the Elite Swim Club in Quebec before relocating to Regina to coach for the last 5 years. He was a Team Saskatchewan coach, selected to their Provincial Team for the Western Canada Games in 2019. While in Regina he has been responsible for coaching the equivalent of our HPAG squad while also assisting the Head Coach with their high-performance program.
The Regina Optimist Dolphins have won the Provincial Championships consecutively for the past 4 years. Four of Nails’ swimmers qualified for Nationals and one of his swimmers broke a Provincial Record. Nail brings a passion for sport and developing the whole athlete for success in and out of the pool. He is looking forward to coaching with MSSAC and being a part of a fantastic coaching staff, striving for excellence in the daily training environment.
“I’m sad and happy at the same time. Sad for our organization but happy for Coach Kaddache’s future. Nail Kaddache is a great coach, fun to work with and his connection with the athletes is magic. His passion is swimming, but he is also a great teacher of sport; I’m confident that he will bring a lot of good things to the Mississauga Aquatic Club.”
