Novice:

Requirements: 

  • Swim freestyle (arms alternating out over the water) while demonstrating rhythmic breathing (ear in the water) for 25 yds. 
  • Flutter kick for a minimum of a length unassisted (25 yds). ​Note: It is a bonus if they know and can swim backstroke with a good horizontal body position for 25 yds. Body position & flotation in the water on both their front, side and back are stressed. 

Description: This is our beginning group to competitive swimming that will bridge the gap from swim lessons & lays a beginning foundation in each of the 4 competitive strokes (Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke & Butterfly). The focus in the group will be to develop a technically good and legal stroke, increase endurance and having fun in swimming! The age range for this group typically goes from 4-11 years. 

 
Age Group Prep:

Requirements: Test Set: 2x100 IM w/1:00 rest & 6x50's Freestyle/Backstroke alternating every other w/:20 rest.

Description: The focus is to prepare athlete with the tools necessary to be successful in our Age Group programs that is appropriate with their age and development. The focus is to refine and maximize technical aspects of each of the 4 strokes and master starts, turns & underwater breakouts. The group will also undergo an increase of volume and intensity of yards swam from the novice group previously to gradually prepare them for the challenges ahead in our Age Group program. This group trains 3x a week for 1 hour & will have "C" & "B" times for their age group. The Age range for this group typically goes from 7-12 years. 

Age Group 1:

 Test Set: 2x100's IM, 4x100's Freestyle  & 6x50's on 1:00. 

Age Group 2:

Senior:
