Lalanya Fisher Head Coach/Head Age Group Coach

Lalanya grew up in Boston, MA where she started swimming competitively at the age of 7.  She attended Northeastern University where she earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Athletic Training and swam at the Division I level for 4 years.  Lalanya moved to Oregon in 2003 and practiced Athletic training for the orthopedic and fracture specialists, PCC men's and women's basketball as well as Oregon Rugby (specifically Newberg) until 2008.  She then found her way back to the pool by assitant coaching the Sherwood Y Dragons swim team for a year before becoming Head Coach for the next 7 years. Lalanya was also the Head Coach for Sherwood HS for 6 years during that time.  After the Sherwood Y Dragons swim team was disbanded due to Covid, she joined the CST staff as an assistant coach in 2020.  In March of 2021 she was named Head Coach/Head Age Group Coach of CST.  Lalanya's coaching philosophy is "have fun and make every moment count."  She enjoys coaching all ages and watching swimmer's progress in the sport.  Her goal as the head coach of CST is to provide opportunities for swimmer's of all ages to improve and progress on a daily basis. 

Quentin Rieniets Head Senior Coach

Quentin began his coaching career in 2004 as an assistant coach for Sherwood High School Swimming and YAWAMA Swim Club (later to become Sherwood Y Dragons). When Sherwood Y Dragons was disbanded due to COVID restrictions, he joined the CST coaching staff in August 2020.

Quentin has worked with novice swimmers through Jr. National qualifiers.

His main goal is to give athletes the best opportunity for them to grow and achieve the highest level in swimming that they are capable of, and using swimming as a tool to help to instill the importance of respect, sportsmanship, community and teamwork in the athletes that he works with.

Erin Fincher Head Novice Coach

Coach Erin grew up in Bend Oregon and swam competitively for 9 years.  She attended college at the University of Oregon and graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology.   Possessing a love for science,  research,  and teaching, Coach Erin has found a perfect blend while working with the athletes of the Chehalem Swim Team (2011-2021).  As the Novice Head Coach she is excited to welcome new athletes to our team and introduce them to the foundations of swimming and her love of the sport.   

Krista Miller Assistant Novice Coach

Krista grew up in Longview, WA where she spent most of her childhood at  the local pool facilities through swim programs, competitive swimming club, lifeguarding and after High School became an assistant coach for both the Killer Whales Swim Club and Kelso High School Swim Team. She attended Lower Columbia College where she earned her Associates Degree, she continued her education in Medical Health Sciences earning her Medical Assistant Certification and continued going to school for Clinical Laboratory Sciences. Krista married, moved to Virginia in 2007, returned to Washington and got back into coaching in 2009. She finally settled down in Oregon in 2014 where she dove back into teaching swim lessons, teaching First Aid/CPR/Lifeguarding courses with the Chehalem Aquatic and Fitness center and began working with CST’s age group and novice swimmers. Krista’s coaching and life philosophy is “let the journey always be amazing”. She loves coaching and watching athletes that she has worked with, both past and present, develop into well rounded athletes and individuals. When she is not at the pool she is spending time with her family camping, hunting, traveling to the beach, fishing and is usually found relaxing with her many yarn projects.
