Cincinnati Marlins Overview
The Cincinnati Marlins operate one of the most successful competitive swimming programs in the United States. Our team has produced some of the greatest swimmers to compete on a local, state, national and international level.  18 Marlins have represented the U.S. in the Olympics, tallying 23 medals and participating in every games since 1968. Another 6 Marlins qualified to swim for the U.S. in the 1980 Olympics, but were unable to compete due to our nation’s boycott of the Moscow games. Marlin swimmers have set many world records, American records, won national championships, and been named American swimmer of the year multiple times. The Marlins have won several sectional championships and Ohio Junior Olympic Championships.

The Marlins operate 5 training locations: Sycamore High School, Northern Kentucky University, Walnut Hills High School, West Clermont High School and our largest location and headquarters, at Keating Natatorium on the campus of St. Xavier High School. Keating Natatorium is a 50-meter indoor facility which can be divided into two 25-yard pools. Keating has seating capacity for over 1000 spectators and is the site of many USA Swimming and High School meets and championships. The Marlins are the only swimming program in the area that manages their own facility.
The Marlins welcome swimmers of all ages and abilities. Our program is divided into multiple training groups appropriate for each swimmer’s stage of development. We employ one of the most highly qualified and professional coaching staffs in the nation.

The Cincinnati Marlins have operated since 1961 and are organized as a 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation. The corporation is owned by the parents of our swimmers. An elected board of directors oversees the program’s operation. Our Head Coach is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the team, assisted by a full-time team manager and a business manager.
