Go for the Gold Trophy Challenge:

Go For The Gold (GFTG) is a motivational program for all SwimTulsa Blue and White Team members, as well as SwimAmerica station 6 and 7 swimers. SwimTulsa has designed intrasquad meets to provide an introduction to competitive swimming for our newest swimmers and valuable race experience for our seasoned competitors. At these meets, swimmers race to get best times. A swimmer who participates in GFTG meets gains experience necessary to race in USA Swimming meets.

All GFTG meets are held at the Union Pool (25-meter course) every 8 weeks during normal practice times.

These meets are friendly to our new competitors. A participation prize will be given to each swimmer who competes in a GFTG meet, and SwimTulsa team members are encouraged to take the SwimTulsa Trophy Challenge (see below).

Are you ready to race? Yes, you are!

SwimAmerica station 6 and 7 participants will race 25’s (count lengths of the pool like quarters: 1=25, 2=50, 4=100) of each stroke based on readiness (swimmers start races in the water vs. from a dive). All SwimTulsa blue and white team swimmers are prepared to swim these events and will race 50's of various strokes chosen by their coach. The meets are held at the end of each 8-week SwimAmerica session of lessons on a regular practice evening; warmups begin at 6:00 pm, and the meet finishes before 8:00 pm.
