Bening & Seabaugh Medal at Futures Championship

Jacob Bening and Daniel Seabaugh earned top 8 medals at the recently concluded USA Swimming Futures Championship in Des Moines, Iowa.  

Bening finished top 8 in both the 100 Back (3rd) and 200 Back (7th) to continue his strong championship season.  His times were both US Open and USA Summer Junior qualifying times.  He also posted a lifetime best in the 100 Free with a 53.40 leadoff leg as part of the 400 Free Relay. 

Seabaugh concluded his meet with a sizzling 2nd place swim in the 800 Meter Freestyle. His time of 8:22.46 was his first USA Summer Junior National Qualifying time!  Seabaugh also posted lifetime bests and team records in the 200 Meter Free (1:54.71) and 400 Meter Free (4:04.28) during the meet. 

The boys were joined by Nicholas Hux and Sam Hahs for relay action and finished just out of the scoring in the 400 Free Relay (17th) and 400 Medley Relay (21st).  

Also of Note: 

  • Hahs finished 25th in the 100 Breast and 46th in the 200 Breast
  • Hux posted a best time in the 400 Free (4:22.87) in time trial action
  • RCA scored 52 points to finish 18th in the Men's team standings
