River City Aquatics is a year-round swimming club with programs for all levels of ability.  The following overview of our program will give you a snapshot of what we offer throughout the year.  New members are welcome at anytime.  Please contact Bobby Brewer at [email protected] for more information and to schedule a free evaluation.

RCA Swim Academy (Learn to Swim, Beginners)
The RCA Swim Academy is where it all gets started for the beginner level swimmer.  This program is offered in separate sessions throughout the school year.  Swimmers are coached by in-water instructors in a small group atmosphere.

RCA Summer League Team (Learn to Swim, Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced)
The RCA Swim Academy program merges with our competitive team during the summer months (Late May-Late July) as we head outdoors and enjoy the summer sunshine. The RCA Summer League team competes in the local Southeast Missouri Swim Conference (SMSC), which is affiliated with the AAU.  The SMSC includes teams as far south as Kennett, as far west as Poplar Bluff, and as far north as Farmington and St. Genevieve.  RCA Swim Academy level swimmers are still coached by in-water instructors and each level of our competitive team participates in this program.  New Swimmer Registration for this program takes place in early April and walk-ons are welcome once the season gets started in late May.

RCA Competitive Age Group Swim Team (Intermediate to Advanced)
The year-round competitive age group swim team part of our program is where our participation in USA Swimming takes place.  RCA has multiple training groups that are designed to properly develop the competitive swimmer at all ages.  Our current training group structure includes the Bronze 1, Bronze 2, Silver, Gold, and Senior training groups.  You can find more detailed group descriptions for these training groups by clicking here.  RCA participates in short course (25 yard course), long course (50 meter course), and open water (1K-5K races in lakes) competitions throughout the annual USA Swimming competitive seasons.

MSHSAA High School Swimming
Many RCA high school age swimmers also participate in the MSHSAA high school seasons during each school year. The boys (August-November) and girls (November-February) seasons overlap with our USA Swimming short course season and RCA year-round swimmers stay active and train/compete with RCA and the high school programs during these seasons. Each year we have high school age swimmers interested in joining RCA for the first time and they are welcome to do so!
