Coaching Staff
Jason Cravens Head Coach

Jason Cravens joined the RCA coaching staff as the Head Coach in January 2015. He has been coaching competitive swimming since 1995 when he started as an assistant high school coach at Westminster Academy in South Florida.  Jason will oversee the training plans for the entire RCA program and serve as the lead coach for the Senior group this season. 

Jason has been a certified member of the American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) since 1998 and had the privilege to serve as a member of the ASCA staff at the national office in Ft. Lauderdale on two occasions.   Jason has successfully developed swimmers from the novice to national level of the sport at each stop during his coaching career. He has coached multiple LSC individual and team champions, LSC record holders, high school state champions, and junior national finalists. 

Jason is a graduate of Westminster Academy and  Florida Atlantic University where he earned a BBA in Management Information Systems. He is married to Lindsay Cravens and the proud father of three beautiful daughters (Josie, Leala, and Ruth) and a son (Charlie).  

Lindsay Cravens Assistant Head Coach

Lindsay Cravens joined the RCA coaching staff in January 2015. She has been coaching swimming since 2003 at both the summer league and USA Swimming club levels of the sport. Lindsay will be the lead coach for the RCA Swim Academy Level 3 and Gold groups this season. 

Lindsay has been a certified member of the American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) since 2008. She graduated from Truman State University in 2008 with a Master’s degree in Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science.  While attending Truman, she was a member of the Bulldog swim team that won 7 straight NCAA Division II national championships. Lindsay was awarded the Ozark Swimming Age Group Coach of the Year award by the ASCA in 2009 for her work with the Flyers Aquatic Swim Team (St. Louis, MO).

Lindsay is a Cape Girardeau native and graduate of Notre Dame High School. She is married to Jason Cravens and the proud mother of three beautiful daughters (Josie, Leala, and Ruth) and a son (Charlie). 

Joe Graves Assistant Coach
Joe Graves joined the RCA coaching staff in January 2019 and he will lead the Bronze 1 and Silver groups this season. 
 
Joe has been a certified member of the American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) since 2018. He started coaching with the Scott City Dolphins in 2005 and ran a successful aquatics program at Fitness Plus from 2011 to 2013. In 2018 he started coaching the High school swim teams for Notre Dame and Saxony Lutheran. Coach Joe was named SMSC Coach of the Year 4 times, most recently in summer of 2018.
 
Joe is a native of Southeast Missouri currently living in Kelso with his wife (Emily) and two sons (Zach and Ben).
Sally Loughary Assistant Coach

Sally Loughary lives in Jackson with her three children Shay, Coleton and Haylee, and has taught preschool for more than 20 years. Coach Sally grew up in Kennett, Missouri, where she was a member of the Kennett Swim Team. After graduating high school, she went on to attend college at Central Methodist, returning during the summer breaks to coach the swim team she grew up with. Sally finished her college education at Southeast Missouri State University and moved to Jackson, Missouri, in 1989. In May of 1992, she began coaching the Barracuda Swim Team in Jackson, where she coached for 8 years prior to the merge of the full-year Barracuda program and the former Gator Swim Team in 1999. Sally has coached with RCA since the team was formed in 2012. 

Sally will be the lead coach for the Bronze 2 group this season.

Joanie Edmundson Assistant Coach

Joanie Edmundson joined the RCA coaching staff in 2013.  She has been coaching swimming at the summer league and USA Swimming club levels of the sport since 2001. Coach Joanie will be coaching the RCA Swim Academy Levels 1&2 this season. 

Joanie has been an Elementary school teacher since 2003 and is currently teaching 1st Grade at Alma Schrader Elementary.  She is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University where she earned a bachelor's degree in early education, a master's degree in curriculum, and a master's degree in mathematics.

Joanie is the proud mother of two boys (Creighton and Wiley) who are both current members of RCA.

Jack Gard Assistant Coach

Jack Gard is a former RCA standout in the pool and begins his first year coaching with the team this season.  He will be working primarily with the Senior group this season.

Jack is a current student at Southeast Missouri State University and is pursuing a degree in criminal justice with a minor in criminology.  His swimming career started with the Southwest Cyclones Swim Team in Denver, CO.  The distance swimming ace was a leader for the RCA national group during his time with the team, scoring at the Sectional Championships on multiple occasions.  He also competed for the Jackson High School swim team and spent time in the summers representing the Jackson Barracudas.  

Ethan Pobst Assistant Coach

Ethan Pobst joined the RCA coaching staff in 2019 and will be assisting with various groups this season. He previously swam for 9 years on different swim teams, including the Scott City Dolphins, Gator Swim Team, and Jackson Barracudas in the SMSC and Cape County Castaways in USA Swimming. He was also a MSHSAA state qualifier in the 100 Free for Notre Dame Regional High School. He coached for the Scott City Dolphins for three years prior to joining RCA as an instructor for the RCA Swim Academy in the Spring of 2019. 

Ethan graduated in December 2019 from Missouri State University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. He currently teaches 4th Grade at Oak Ridge R-VI and lives in Oran, Missouri.
