Daniel Miller places 2nd with USA's 800 meter Free Relay

It is finally here. Daniel Miller through his performances last summer was named to the 2009 USA Men’s National Youth Team and the competition for him to represent the USA starts tomorrow, Friday May 21st, and goes through the weekend. Daniel will be competing in Vancouver, Canada at the 2009 Mel Zajac Jr International Swim Meet. Daniel will compete in the 100, 200, 400 Freestyles and the 50, 100, and 200 Fly events. He will also compete in the 800 Freestyle Relay.

Daniel places 6th in prelims of the 200 meter Free, qualifying for the A Final. Daniel finishes in 7th place in 200 Free final, and swam on the USA B 400 Free Relay which took 4th place. On Saturday Daniel finaled in two more events placing 14th in the 400 meter Free and the 100 meter Fly. At the end of the evening Daniel swam the third leg of the A USA 800 Free Relay which took 2nd place.

On the last day of competition Daniel finished in 12th place in the 200 Fly. NIce job Daniel on having a successful first International competition representing the USA.
