2019-2020 TRAINING SCHEDULES

2019- 20 Training Schedule (See E-Boards and  Events Page for Open Water opportunities)

All PAC sites will be closed during spring break.  Enjoy some time away from the pool.  We will resume in April with regular schedules including dryalnd at all sites.

Summer Notes (2020 watch for weekly details)

PAC's summer training schedule will come out in April/ May (depending on MHAC bidding for training time/ space).  Please note Columbia swimmers will move to Dishman and Mt. Scott will move to Creston once school is out (4 pm start times).  SWCC will stay the same (though no lane time on T, Th until 6 pm).  Eltie's will train at Montavilla at 6 am and MHAC will be TBD.  Crossover 1 and 3 swimmers will  be invited to MHAC and Montavilla but will be encourage to discuss with their site coach a plan based on age and ability that will focus on the long term development of the swimmer (LCM traning and encouraged training at their primary site and/ or Montavilla).  Any college swimmer who would like to train this summer must be a current USA Swimming registered swimmer and MAAP certified and willing/ able to commmit to training and meets as there is limited space at MHAC and Montavilla. There will be fees for college swimmers who return in the summer which will be determined once PAC secures training times.

Drop off and Pick up of swimmers

It has been brought to our attention that many of our swimmers are spending a lot to time standing outside in the colder months in the cold/ rain waiting for their rides.  We request that swimmers stay inside until their ride arrives.

Portland Parks respectfully requests that cars do not park in loading and fire zones at our site pools.  Parents, please do not leave your car in a loading or fire zone during drop off or pick up. Either park and walk your swimmer in or drop them off safely in front of the facility

Inclement Weather or Disasters

PAC typically will follow Portland Public School's closures for our site pools. However, Portland weather can change quickly and many of our pools open in time for afternoon practices. So, please watch your email, the website/team feed, and our e-Boards for updates from our coaches.  Our coaches will run practice if the pool is open and they can get to it. Ultimately, it is up to each individual family to decide if it is safe to travel the roads and if you cannot make it email your coach for some activities do do on your own.  PPR Information line on closures:  503-823-2533.
