BENEFITS OF SWIMMING

As a member of Portland Aquatic Club (PAC), Oregon Swimming, and USA Swimming, our athletes are part of one of the largest organized youth sports in the United States. Our athletes are participating in one of the healthiest sports around,  one that he or she can enjoy for a lifetime! 

Swimming is one of the best ways to stay active while taking care of all parts of your body. Swimming is a fantastic cardio workout that doesn’t put excessive stress on your bones and joints.  Though it’s a low-impact workout, swimming produces high-power results. For our members, it’s an aerobic workout where the water provides resistance, which in turn builds strength. 

Parents will see many benefits as their children grow and mature both physically and socially within our program. Some of the greatest benefits are the life skills your child will develop:
