“Running of the Sharks” is our team’s annual fundraiser and it’s an important part of our team’s financial stability. It is our biggest “non-swim meet” fundraiser of the year, so we depend on your support and participation in this fun event!
And this year, not only will the kids be swimming and counting laps but there’s more….
1. Parents…come socialize and meet new faces!
2. Snacks for EVERYONE after the 2-hour swim
All squads and program members are encouraged to share in the fun! To participate in Running of the Sharks, we simply ask our swimmers to solicit donations from family, friends, neighbors and the community to support our team!
Share your enthusiasm for the Tigersharks and your passion for swimming and ask for flat donations or for a specific pledge per lap. Swimmers are then asked to earn those donations & pledges by swimming for up to 2 hours on Friday, October 29, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 PM.
Our team goal is $10,000, with an individual swimmer goal of $150. We’re sure we can exceed this goal with your enthusiastic support and participation.
Donations help provide pool rental, equipment, coaching and travel. The Tigersharks also provide scholarships.
The Tigersharks have a 501(c)(3), non-profit status, making all donations tax deductible.

Prizes and Incentives for Participation
There will be one Grand prize for the top fundraiser overall! The next three highest earners in Senior, Gold & Silver will compete for cash prizes as well. And the highest three earners in Bronze & League will compete for cash prizes. The grand prize winner cannot also win one of the top age group prizes.
Grand Prize Winner: $350
The top 3 fundraisers in Senior, Gold and Silver groups:
1st place--$100
2nd place--$ 75
3rd place--$ 50
The top 3 fundraisers in Bronze and League groups:
1st place-- $100
2nd place--$ 75
3rd place--$ 50
Every swimmer who earns at least:
$150 will receive a unique “Running of the Sharks” tee shirt.

Day of event
- Please arrive at least 15 minutes early
- Please bring someone to count laps for you
- Please bring a chair and a pencil/pen for your lap counter
- Snacks will be provided for swimmers and parents at the conclusion of the lap swimming.
- Lap count sheets provided
