Milpitas High School

Dear Members,

Wednesday, June 30th will be our last day at the Milpitas High School location.

As some will know, the club entered into a contract five years ago with the Milpitas Unified School District to develop a community-based swim program tied to the Santa Clara Swim Club name.  The club provided opportunities for youth aquatic sports in the Milpitas area via an outreach and supportive programming for all levels of swimming.

During the five years with MUSD, SCSC was able to build a substantial following.  Through learn to swim, development, and competitive swim programs the community of Milpitas found a base location for kids in the local community to build confidence, develop swimming skills, and reach for success in competitive venues.

The entire club is proud of the legacy it built in Milpitas and are disappointed at not being awarded the most recent RFP to continue operations at Milpitas High School.  The club has sought to find another home in the area without success due to contract terms, scarce options for hours of operation, and proximity considerations.

SCSC has for nearly 70 years sought to spread the aquatics mission and will continue to pursue options and opportunities.  At this time, we want to thank and wish well all the members who are affected by this change.  We hope those affected will consider being part of the success and future of SCSC as we bring aboard nationally ranked and Top 20 swim coach, our new Head Coach, Kevin Zacher, the 7th head coach to take the helm at SCSC.

As an incentive to our Milpitas swimmers, the club will offer training at the ISC with their current coaches, for 50% discount through the rest of the summer (July & August).

Thank you for choosing to be a part of SCSC, always family.
