PRE-TEAM (3 days: $215 Monthly; 2 days: $160 Monthly)


DescriptionPre-Team puts the FUN in fundamentals! Pre-Team bridges our lessons program and our competitive team. Swimmers will improve their technique in Free, Back, Breast, and Fly and will continue to develop their underwater dolphin kick (aka "the 5th stroke"). They will learn important racing skills such as starts and turns. Our goal is to inspire Pre-Teamers to begin to see themselves as athletes. To have them become competition ready. All while experiencing the many joys that the sport of swimming has to offer. For ages 10 and under.


ExpectationsAttend at least one practice per week. Bring gear to practice every day. LASA Novice meets optional.
 

BRONZE GROUP (5 days $672; 3 days $560 Seasonal)

Description: A fun, engaging introduction to our competitive team. Bronze Group focuses on skill drills, fitness, and group dynamics. It provides an overview of the four competitive strokes and underwater dolphin kicking. Bronze swimmers will develop a dedication to practice and competitive swim meet protocol. Swimmers will also learn the importance of hard work. For ages 12 and under.


Expectations: Attend at least two practices per week (40%). Bring gear to practice every day.  Attend one swim meet a month (LASA Novice or above)

SILVER GROUP ($710 Seasonal)

Description: Aimed at swimmers who are still developing their ability and dedication to the sport. Swimmers will develop their technique, dedication to practice, and competitive swim meet protocol. Increasing training intensity, volume, and time from Bronze level. For pre-high school swimmers ages 7-12.


Expectations: Attend 3 practices a week (50%). Bring gear to practice every day. Attend all meets on schedule.

GOLD GROUP ($780 Seasonal)

Description: Blends technical instruction with increased swimming volumes and intensities from Silver group. Swimmers will refine their goal setting techniques and learn how to be take ownership of their improvement. Requires consistent practice and meet attendance to move up to the next group. For pre-high school swimmers ages 9 and up. 


Expectations: Attend 4 practices per week (66%). Bring gear to practice every day. Attend all meets on schedule including championship meets (individual & relay events).

 

VARSITY GROUP ($580 Seasonal)

Description: Provides stroke instruction to swimmers. Goal of developing skills required for high school swimming or future club swimming competitions. Swimmers can also join this group simply because they love swimming and want to stay in shape. From here, swimmers can be invited to our Senior Development and Senior Elite groups.


Expectations: Attend at least two practices per week. Bring gear to practice every day. Attend one swim meet a month (LASA Novice or above)

SENIOR DEVELOPMENT GROUP ($805 Seasonal)

Description: Designed to provide stroke instruction to swimmers who would like to continue developing and/or acquiring the skills required for high school swimming competitions and/or future club swimming competitions. Swimmers can also join this group simply because they love swimming and want to stay in shape. From here, swimmers can be invited to participate in our Senior Elite groups.


Expectations: Attend 80% of all practices. Bring Gear to practice every day. Attend one swim meet a quarter.  

SENIOR ELITE ($930 Seasonal)

Description: Our Senior group is the top level of our Senior Group. Designed for swimmers who have achieved no less than one sectional time and are dedicated to teamwork. These swimmers have chosen swimming as their number one extracurricular activity and want to train to compete in senior meets (with no age group divisions). This group will train to be the best in our section and LSC. We ask that swimmers attend 5 practices each week.


Expectations: Attend 90% of all practices. Bring gear to practice every day. Attend all meets on schedule including championship meets (individual and relay events).

 

 

Westside Aquatics offers swim team tryouts at Palisades Charter High School by appointment.

Tryout participants must be prepared to legally complete a minimum of 25 yards of each: Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Freestyle. Participants must also be ready to demonstrate a flip turn, open turn, and racing dive.
