Updated COVID Protocols - Effective Immediately

Emily Murray

Good Morning Metro Swimmers and Families,

With Omicron cases going up, we are going to go back to COVID protocols similar to what we did over the summer until further notice. This means that swimmers will be spaced out 6 feet apart at all times while waiting before and after practice and during practice (in and out of the water).

Swimmers will wear a mask to and from the pool, and whenever they are not in the water (ex: while in the locker room, waiting to get into the pool, waiting outside). Coaches will always wear a mask, and we ask that parents wear a mask while waiting outside with their swimmers.

Please stay at home if you have any symptoms of COVID or the common cold, these symptoms include, but are not limited to:

  • Fever or chills

  • Cough

  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

  • Fatigue

  • Muscle or body aches

  • Headache

  • New loss of taste or smell

  • Sore throat

  • Congestion or runny nose

  • Nausea or vomiting

  • Diarrhea

Coaches will go over this information wiht swimmers at practice as well. We appreciate your cooperation and support. Please reach out with any questions or concerns.

Happy New Year!

Thanks,

Emily
