Spring Break Practice Schedule (April 3rd – 7th)
There will be practices during spring break, but the hours will change a bit!
· Bronze 1:5-5:45pm M-F (up to 3 practices)
· Bronze 2/3:5:45-6:45pm (up to 3 practices)
· Silver: 5:30-7pm M, 6-7pm T-Th, 5:30-7pm F
· Gold: 5:30-7pm M- F
Note that there will be no AM practices for Gold and Silver during spring break.
Spring showdown recap
Storm had some strong swims this meet, with over 90% best times at the meet between Aubrey, Gwen, Derek, Emily, and Chris. While we didn’t have any swimmers swim at finals, Derek O. made alternate in the 200 free, and Gwen placed in the top 16 in prelims of the 100 IM.

FUN Meet with Relays, Marlin Madness – Signup by 4/03
This is a sprint meet with a lot of relays! Some of these relays will even be ones not typically raced, such as the fly, back and breaststroke relay as well as an IM relay (everyone swims IMs). The more signups we get for this meet, the more relays we can run!
Storm Intrasquad, Friday May 5th
Storm will be hosting a meet at our own on Friday May 5th. This meet will be in place of our usual Friday practice. Please attend this meet! This will be a great opportunity to get volunteer hours in!
Storm Board Positions
It is time to elect the officials for the next season of Storm! If you are interested in running for a board position, submit a paragraph introducing yourself and explaining why you would be good for the position to [email protected] by May 4th. Your child must have been on the team for 1 year (meaning they must have started at the beginning of the 2022-2023 swim season) to run for a board position.
Vice President
The vice president shall perform the duties of the president in the absence of this officer. During official meetings, the vice president shall perform the duties of the secretary in this officer’s absence. The vice president shall also aid in the development of policy and coordination of those committees under his/her charge. The Vice President will act as Registrar of organization, verifying that all families have turned in all registration documentation and disseminates information to the Treasurer and Head Coach. The Vice President will oversee the Outreach program. The Vice President is a 2-year term. Vice President incentives include a 25% discount from one (most expensive) swimmer. Fundraising ($400) and volunteer hours are fulfilled with board duties.
Treasurer
The treasurer is responsible for communications with the Team Bookkeeper, monitoring all financial records including banking and checking records and for making timely reports to the Board of Directors. The treasurer is responsible for billing members and communication with parents regarding financial questions. The Treasurer is a 2-year term. Treasurer incentives include a 25% discount from one (most expensive) swimmer and Fundraising ($400) excused. Treasurer’s volunteer hours are fulfilled with board duties.
Member at Large 1
At large position 1 is responsible for marketing, team newsletters and membership communication. Member at Large 1 incentive include a 25% discount from one (most expensive) swimmer and fundraising ($400) excused. Member at Large 1 volunteer hours are fulfilled with board duties.
