Weekly Safe Sport Trainings

IST Communications

USA Swimming has announced new remote training opportunities for parents, swimmers, and coaches as part of their Safe Sport Club Recognition Program.

The Safe Sport Club Recognition program allows member clubs to demonstrate their commitment to promoting healthy and positive environments free from abuse for all of their members through the development and implementation of club governance measures, Safe Sport policies and reporting mechanisms, Safe Sport best practices, and trainings for athletes and parents,

Safe Sport recognized clubs earn a badge to display on their website. Clubs that earned this recognition will also be designated as Safe Sport Recognized in USA Swimming's Find-a-Team online search tool.

In order to achieve this recognition, member clubs must offer training opportunities for minor athletes and parents. Typically, it's up to each member club to arrange their own trainings. However, with these new remote trainings, clubs around the country can take advantage of USA Swimming's expertise in order to offer their members convenient, remote trainings that fit their schedules.

Trainings will be available weekly according to the following schedule. Please note that ZOOM software will be required:

USA Swimming staff members will take attendance at each meeting and IST will receive credit for all of our members who attend. Please help us demonstrate our commitment to Safe Sport by setting aside some time to attend. Members need only attend a meeting once in order to satisfy the requirements.
