There is Saturday AM practice this week at Sumner for Gold Elite: 7:30-10, Gold: 8-9:30, Silver Elite: 9-11, Silver: 9:30-11

 

Createmytee order: is set to arrive this week. I will work on compiling and getting delivered to the pools later in the week.  

Locker Room Etiquette:    We have had some issues reported to us of inappropriate behaviors by athletes in the locker rooms. Please discuss the following with your swimmers.(Coaches will also be discussing this week as well):

  1. No running, jumping on benches, etc.This can lead to serious injury.

  2. Keep your hands to yourself.  NO hitting people with towels or other belongings.

  3. The locker rooms are shared spaces with the public, please let a trusted adult know if there is anything out of the ordinary that makes them uncomfortable.

  4. Turn off the showers after use, do not overuse soap, etc.Be mindful of resources!

Swim AThon: Are you interested in earning some of your volunteer hours by being the Swim A Thon coordinator?  The Swim A Thon is set for Saturday, December 14th.  We are looking for a parent to send emails, track pledges, order prizes, etc.  Please let me know if you are interested! 

 

IST update: Great job to all VAST swimmers at the meet over the weekend! Coaches saw lots of improvement from only a couple weeks ago and we are excited to keep seeing even more progress. We had over 115 new best times, new PNS Silver, Gold, and Champs cuts made, and new team top 10 swims! Those were Aidan Davis (50 back), Brendan Man (100 IM), Kyleigh Rychlik (200 IM, 50 free, 100 IM, 100 free), Dean Tucker (200 IM, 50 fly), Grayson Udd (200 free, 50 fly), and Preston Wolf (100 breast, 50 breast). Congratulations again!

 

Upcoming Swim Meets:

Q Meet:  Sunday, November 17th:   At KCAC. Swimmers must have a silver time standards but 11 & overs cannot enter an event where they champs.  To enter, click here.

UPAC Distance Meet, Sunday November 17th:  at Curtis.   This meet is a great opportunity for our distance swimmers to get a distance event in.  Both the 1000 and 1650 are offered.   To enter, click here.
