Updates from WITHIN PNS Oct. 28, 2021 PNS December Championships Meets Planning PNS continues to develop plans to provide the opportunity for as many swimmers as possible to compete at a Championship event during December. PNS December Champs Meet Update Due to continued capacity and covid protocol at WKCAC, we are revising the Championships meets for this December. For all meets at WKCAC, beginning after October 25th, all athletes, coaches, volunteers, spectators, etc 12 and older entering the facility must either prove that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have a negative COVID test taken within 72 hours of each visit to WKCAC (which means that for a multiple day meet, may require multiple tests). Updates from Around USA Swimming Sept. 30, 2021 USA Swimming HOD Passes Revised Re-Structure of the HOD The USA Swimming HOD met to receive a proposal from the second working group. This group was created following the rejection of the original June 30, 2021, proposal for the HOD Re-structure required to meet the USOPC rules. The revised proposal altered the structure to have more coach participation and created a coaches advisory council to provide input to the HOD and USAS Board. Updates from Around USA Swimming Sept. 16, 2021 Opportunity to Hear an Ground Breaking Olympian Next Tuesday, September 21, USA Swimming will offer a Zoom presentation featuring Maritza McClendon, 2004 Olympic Silver Medalist and the FIRST African American woman to make a US Olympic swim team.
