PNS Meet Calendar for 2022

Availability of facilities continues to be an issue for developing a meet calendar for PNS.  Limitations on school facilities mean that no Challenge Meet weekends can be planned.  Staffing and operating hours restrictions as well as parking limitations at Weyerhauser KCAC limit the size and fiscal viability of meets at that site.

Program Operations and the Technical Planning Committee continue to develop the plans for the announced Washington State Age Group Championships scheduled for March 18 – 20 and the Spring Fling to be held the following weekend, March 26 – 27.  Both meets will be at WKCAC and PNS is seeking clubs willing to host each of these meets.

Clubs are encouraged to develop plans for and to host meets to provide opportunities for competition.  These meets will continue to be sanctioned under the Special Meets as done in the Fall of 2021.  During the development of the Announcement, regularly check the necessary COVID documentation on the USA Swimming website and incorporate as appropriate.  That documentation can be updated without any notification of changes.  Finally, please submit meet bids at least thirty days prior to the start of the meet so that there is sufficient time for key volunteers to review everything.

Best Wishes for 2022!

As 2021 concludes, PNS hopes for a better 2022!  Stay safe with the tough driving conditions and the wintery weather.  While it is not obvious that there is an end to the situation, clubs and swimmers will continue to improvise and improve and provide opportunities for many to compete and enjoy the benefits of swimming.  Hope to see everyone at a pool in the coming year.  Stay safe, stay healthy and swim fast!  Have fun!
