Spring Showdown Invitation
Greetings one and all!
March is here, which means Spring is coming! In the month of March, you will not only see stars in the sky at night. In fact, you will see two of the brightest planets Venus and Jupiter in our solar system when you look at the West. Tell your children, your coworkers, and your friends about this fun fact!
On behalf of meet referee, Lorraine Masse, and meet host, WAVE Aquatics, I would like to extend a personal invitation to you. There will be three sessions a day (11 & Over Prelims and Finals with a 10 & Under session in between). We will most likely be running two pools for Prelims, so lots of officials are needed. Our future star swimmers need your support! Please make plans to attend if you can. FOR PLANNING PURPOSES, WE APPRECIATE IF YOU WOULD KINDLY RSVP WHICH SESSION(S) YOU WILL BE ATTENDING WITH THIS LINK. You can make note of any requests or notes in the comment section of the signup. A separate email to signup is not necessary unless you do not receive a confirmation by Monday 3/20. The meet information is attached.
Looking forward to seeing you!
Cheers,
Diane Zhang
Rumor has it from a National Officials Committee member that Officials may be able to apply for National Certifications soon!
To: USA Swimming Officials who have been registered for five years or less
Thank you for your work as an Official. Your commitment to volunteering allows athletes to participate in competition across the country.
USA Swimming has been tasked by the Board of Directors to create a more uniformed educational program. The goal is to create a simple, equitable pathway to becoming an Official.
We would like to hear from individuals who have recently been through the process of becoming an Official. Help shape this crucial programming by taking this brief survey. It takes roughly 15 minutes and your answers will be anonymous. Deadline to complete will be March 15 (11:59 p.m ET).
This is your opportunity to help create a more uniformed process for future Officials in our sport! We look forward to hearing your feedback.
