Justin Brosseau Head Coach/CEO

Coach Justin Brosseau joins CCA after spending the past 2 ½ years as Director of Competitive Curriculum at KATY Aquatics located just outside of Houston, TX.  Coach Justin worked with the High Performance and Gold groups, and during his tenure he helped develop and train athletes who competed and succeeded at a state and national level, from Texas Age Group Swimming (TAGS) champions to Olympic Trials qualifiers.  At a team level KATY Aquatics grew into a top 60 finisher in the USA Swimming Virtual Club Championships, achieved its first TAGS Top 10 team finish in over 10 years, finished 2nd at the 2016 Gulf Swimming LSC Long Championships, and scored an 8th place team finish at the 2016 Futures (Austin, TX) Championships.  One of the largest USA Club teams in the country, Coach Justin worked with the KATY staff to help create a program-wide overhaul that valued a balance of skill development and high level training.  Prior to arriving at KATY, Coach Justin spent 6 seasons coaching at the NCAA Division 1 at Missouri State University and Boise State University.  His professional coaching career began in his hometown of Springfield, MO working with Division 2 powerhouse Drury University and his home club Springfield Aquatics (MO).  He has always been focused on not only developing great athletes but great citizens- his programs have excelled in the pool and in the classroom.

During his college coaching career he was part of multiple teams that were recognized as CSCAA All-American Academic programs 11 times (achieving a team GPA above 3.0).  In the pool these programs collected 1 NCAA Division 2 national title, 3 NCAA Division 1 conference championships, national Top 25 rankings, along with multiple NCAA All-Americans at both the Division 1 and 2 levels.  During his time at Springfield Aquatics he was part of a program that consistently was a Top 5 finisher at the Missouri Valley LSC championships, produced multiple athletes who achieved NAG Top 16 times, and developed many athletes who have continued their careers at the collegiate level.  Prior to Springfield Aquatics Justin was the Head Coach and Administrator of the ASA Aquadogs (formerly Truman Aquatics) during his time as a student-athlete at Truman State University.  He graduated from Missouri State University with a degree in English and completed his Master’s in Sports Administration from Missouri State University in 2015.  Justin and his wife Kate married in May of 2012 and are the proud parents of Atticus, Emile and their dog Baxter.  They all are excited to make a home in Roseville and be a part of the CCA family!

Before joining CCA she coached in Katy Texas with KATY Aquatics for 2 years. While at KATY she held positions as assistant coach, lead 10 & under coach, and site supervisor. During those 2 years at  KATY she helped quickly re-build an underperforming 10 & Under program into one of the strongest 10 & Under groups in the GULF LSC.  She also assisted with the Gold and High Performance groups on a regular basis, and traveled and assisted with these groups at USA Swimming Futures, Junior Nationals, and the 2016 Olympic Trials. Steve Breiter Varsity and Pre-White Coach

Coach Steve comes to CCA with over 20 years of coaching experience ranging from summer league swimming to college level. He’s worked with absolute beginners through Olympic Gold Medalists. His coaching tenure started shortly after completing his college career as an assistant swim coach for Clemson University. From South Carolina he has coached in Florida, Michigan, and California. It was in Jacksonville, Florida that he had the opportunity to work with Nancy Hogshead (-Makar) during her return to competitive swimming. In every position he learned more about stroke development, strength improvement, injury rehab, and season planning. In 1989 he founded the West Sac Dolphin swim team and creating the entire program from the ground up (except for the pool). It was a joy to return to those same Dolphins in 2002 to lead them to their first of many conference championship titles!

Coach Steve started competitive swimming late, at 14. As a freshman at Pleasant Hill High he joined the school’s swimming team. That year he won the 100 free at the Frosh-Soph Sections Meet. Through high school he finaled in 7 total individual high school sections events while winning 3 of those including the first ever 500 yard free (before 1974 CA high schools swam the 400 free!). He joined Pleasant Hill Swim Club that summer and his journey had begun. He finaled at Far Westerns each year from 1972-1974 and made cuts in the 200m Free for USS Senior in 74. Signing a full scholarship with the University of South Carolina, Steve was All-Conference all 4 years and qualified for NCAA Div 1 Champs all 4 years. He was involved in Masters Swimming and was a Pacific Masters event champion 1987-1992 as well as a Masters National Champion in 1987 and 1988. Changing venues, in 1991 he was a member of a 6 person English Channel Relay that, at 8 hrs and 16 min, is still the 11th fastest relay crossing ever! By far though, his single most enjoyable swimming moment was a 1992 USS Senior National Championships 8th place finish in the 10K at Waikiki.   He thrilled to be a part of this CCA Staff while working with the Varsity Group!
