Coaches and Directors
Mary Germano has long history with our team; she has been with the City of Pacifica's Aquatics staff for 35 years and is a well known swim instructor in Pacifica. Mary has served as a PSL Assistant Coach since 2002 and has been part of the team for 17 years. She swam for the Sea Lions in high school and to continue the tradition, so did all three of her children.
Vicki Russo's coaching background is extensive and based with the PSL. After swimming age group for over 9 years herself, she started as a PSL assistant coach in 1987, moved to head coach in 1991, and continued until 2000 when she was promoted to head the Aquatics Division for the City of Pacifica. Vicki has also had two opportunities to coach Pacifica Swimming Western Zone all-star teams (1993, Santa Clara and 2001, Hawaii) and has coached numerous Pacific Swimming age-group camps. Several swimmers that she coached went on to swim and compete at college level.
