March 22, 2020 Re: PASA-Rinconada Dear PASA Family, As our community settles in to shelter-in-place, our coaches have shifted their focus from “tomorrow” to “the next several weeks” to determine how we can adapt to the current environment. No matter how long the executive order lasts, we know we need to continue our mission, take care of our coaches, and find ways to expand our program. Many things have changed in the world, but some remain the same. Here’s what has NOT changed: We are committed to keeping our PASA...
Dear Members, As we are all learning how to deal with our current "normal", I wanted to update everyone as to what our short term plans are. Our entire PASA staff met yesterday to discuss what to do and how we should do it. First, we all agreed that just because we have to be apart for awhile, we can still be together in other ways. Shortly we will be updating the overall PASA website to include how we are dealing with the Covid-19 virus along with information that we...
Good Afternoon PASA Rinconada Families, Head Coach Tony Batis just received news from the City of Palo Alto that all public facilities will be closed through April 4th. Tony will continue to provide updates as to the status of when we will be able to return to Rinconada as the information becomes available. At this point we will have to postpone the Monster Swim scheduled for March 28th. All checks that have been collected will be held until we have a new date for the event. Thank you everyone for...
Dear Members, With the unprecedented events of the last couple of weeks, I wanted to send out a letter to you updating where our program currently is. Cities, counties, schools, universities, etc... have all been made to make difficult decisions with a lot of uncertainty and now PASA-Rinconada must do the same. I have been contacted by Stanford University today and until further notice outside club groups will no longer be able to use their facility. In addition, the City Council of Palo Alto, will meet Monday to decide whether...

We are aware of the concerns being voiced by some of our individual members and recognize that it...
Good Morning PASA Rinconada Families, We are currently finishing up the details to get PASA 2020 Safe Sport Recognized. At a minimum we need 1 parent to take the "Safe Sport for Parents" course and 1 athlete to take the "Safe Sport for Minor Athletes" course. Parent chaperones for workouts/meets should definitely be taking this course. A number of athletes and parents took the 2019 course but we need both to take the 2020 course because we currently have none listed in our portal. Safe Sport for Parents/ Non-USA Swimming...
