Financial Aid

Financial aid applications for swimming dues are now available for next season. Applications must be postmarked by 6/3/22. Please see our policy on the team website (click here) and contact [email protected] for an application. (Note: In the past, financial aid was limited to one swimmer per family. In an effort to expand our DEI outreach and to support the family culture of our team, we have opened up applications for siblings.)

By providing financial aid to families in need, we hope to expand opportunities for swimmers to train and compete at the highest levels, regardless of their ability to pay. If you are able, please support the restricted use Scholarship Fund by donating through our team’s Venmo account: @Piedmont-SwimTeam (memo: Scholarship Fund).

Piedmont Swim Team (PST) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, and contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Our Federal Tax ID number is 94-2397551. Donors will receive a written acknowledgement and tax receipt from PST.

Olympic Swimmer Dana Vollmer needs PST girls’ help! (May 15th, 10am-1pm, Witter Field):

Want to help out Olympic Swimmer Dana Vollmer? PRD will host the first ever Play Like a Girl+ Piedmont Event! More than 20 sports organizations from around the Bay Area will have hands-on activities for girls+ ages 2–18 to try. While there is no water, Dana has some creative ideas for how to make it work. For example, she is handing out autographed swim caps and will have a starting block on hand for demos and photo opps. They need a few swimmers and one parent on hand to support this booth and promote the sport and our club.

Any available volunteers can contact Piedmont Recreation Dept’s Eva Phalen (Eva Phalen [email protected])

This Week's Top Tip!

From Josie, PST’s Athlete Rep to Pacific Swimming:

“This past weekend I went to the athlete rep meeting where they discussed drug guidelines. Because this does include inhalers and many people on our team have asthma, I think it is important to share this with the team, in case they do need to get a signed document from their doctors for medical exemption.

Here are the links and general information:

  1. GlobalDro (best website for checking status of prescribed medications in sport)

  2. For medical exemptions, complete Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) on USADA website.

    1. USADA exemption form:

  3. If substance or drug labels  “Supplement Facts” instead of “Nutrition Facts”, it is not checked by the FDA and may or may not contain banned ingredients.

  4. Anonymous reporting contacts:

    1. (877) 752-9253

    2. [email protected]

    3. @USantidoping (social media)

    4. Text 87232 (USADA)

Lessons for the Summer have opened for Registration:

Our lesson and pre-comp programs are back with limited availability and are open for registration. Our swim school helps raise funds to keep our team fees low, so please tell your friends to visit our website for more information and to enroll!

PST needs to renew its SafeSport recognition, which is mandatory for every team affiliated to USA Swimming! This requires a large portion of our members (swimmers, coaches and PARENTS) to go through training.  Please consider attending any of the following USA-Swimming training courses, all of which require registration and will count towards the mandatory training:
