  • Prior to registration all prospective new team members must attend a Placement Evaluation session for correct group placement. These sessions are scheduled at each of our training sites. You should attend the session scheduled for your prospective training site.


  • We offer several levels of training groups to meet the practice needs of wide range of swimmers.  Group placement is based on age, ability and level of commitment. Please review the Group Descriptions to get an idea of where your swimmer will likely be placed following a tryout.


  • Team fees are based on the “training group” your swimmer is placed in at the stroke evaluation. Number of sessions per week, length of sessions and length of your season effect the cost of the program. The Marlins offer training at 6 different locations in Northern Virginia. Please review Practice Schedules to find the pool and practice that will match your team placement after evaluation.


  • Registration for your swimmer includes the team Outfitting Package. First year swimmers will receive a team backpack, a hooded sweatshirt, two team t-shirts, a team suit for swim meets, a swim cap, a water bottle, and a team magnet. All registrations processed by August 20th will have their outfitting available for pickup at the New Member Meeting and Outfitting Day on September 15th.


  • We offer three payment options - (1) full payment at the time of registration, (2) registration fee at the time time of registration and balance due October 1st, and (3) registration fee at the time of registration and five payments over the course of the season to complete your remaining balance. The $500 non-refundable registration fee must be paid at the time of registration.


  • We accept both credit and debit card payments. There is a 3% processing fee for all credit and debit card payments. Credit and debit card payments can be done on-demand at any time. We also accept payments via ACH directly from a checking account. There is a $1.25 processing fee for all ACH payments. ACH payments only process on the 1st of each month and cannot be done on-demand. 


  • All families are responsible for keeping a valid form of payment on file. Payments process automatically on the 1st of the month when a balance is due. If your payment fails to process on the 1st for any reason, you will receive a system generated notification. You will need to process an on-demand payment via credit or debit card prior to the 7th of the month to avoid a $25 late fee.


  • We offer a multi-swimmer discount for families registering more than one swimmer in the same transaction, and a military discount for active duty military with proof of service. Please review the payment policy for additional information prior to completing your registration.
