MAKO COVID-19 POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

What do I do if my swimmer tests positive for COVID?

In the event that your swimmer tests positive for COVID, please contact [email protected] as well as your MAKO coach. We ask that you keep your swimmer home for 5 days following either the onset of symptoms or the positive test. After five days, your swimmer can return to MAKO activities with a negative test. If your swimmer tests positive on the 5th day, we ask that they remain home for an additional five days.

What do I do if my swimmer had close contact with someone with COVID?

The CDC defines close contact as someone who was less than 6 feet away from an infected person (laboratory-confirmed or a clinical diagnosis) for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period (for example, three individual 5-minute exposures for a total of 15 minutes). If your swimmer falls into this category, please click HERE to use the CDC Covid Quarantine and Isolation Calculator.

Please review the above guidelines with your athletes and family.  Should we feel anyone is consistently not adhering to these guidelines, they or their family's participation in MAKO activities may be suspended.
