York Swim Club - December Team Update
Upcoming Meet Registration Deadlines
As we stated at the beginning of the season at parent night meet entries must be completed by the registration deadlines, please ensure your swimmer is registered on time, we cannot accept late entries. USA Swimming Registration Reminder – ALL SWIMMERS MUST BE REGISTERED BY 12/31/2022
USA Swimming has released their new SWIMS 3.0 updated system which now requires all families to register each of their swimmers directly through their website (this was noted in your online registration for York). Please note there are two actions that need to be taken – creating an account and linking it to the swimmers’ previous records in USA Swimming if they are a current member (No Fee) and registering as an athlete (Fee). All families will register each swimmer as a Premium Athlete for the 2022-2023 season.
New to USA Swimming Members - Families that are new to York for the 2022-2023 season or did not participate in the 2021-2022 should have already been completed and must be completed now if not.
- Step One: Create account with USA Swimming – CLICK HERE
- Step Two: Register your athlete(s) as premium athletes with York using this York Swim Club specific link only – CLICK HERE
Current USA Swimming Members - Families that participated on York or another USA Swimming team for the 2021-2022 season are current members of USA Swimming and should now register for 2023.
- Step One: Create account with USA Swimming – CLICK HERE
Current members parents should create a new account (in your name) and add your athlete(s) to your account. In order to add your athlete(s) to your new USA Swimming account you will need their newly issued Member ID Number (a random mix of letters and numbers) which is available in your online York account. To access the new Member ID Number, you will login to our website www.yorkswim.com, go to “My Account” on the left side of the screen and then select “Account Info”. From here you will select the Members tab at the top of the page and double click your swimmers name to access their member page. Then you click the red USAS Membership tab to see the “New ID #”. If the registration status says “Not Registered” and your swimmer participated on another USA Swimming team previously then you will need to complete the PVS Transfer Swimmer - please note the transfer is not instantaneous – it can take up to 72 hours to update on our website as it has to be approved by PVS first. The form can be found HERE Please DO NOT CREATE A NEW MEMBERSHIP NUMBER IN USA SWIMMING FOR YOUR SWIMMER! This will create two accounts and USA Swimming is having a hard time fixing this and it will affect meet entries and the ability to use previous meet times.
- Step Two: Register your athlete(s) as premium athletes with York using this York Swim Club specific link only (be sure to select “Yes” that the person you are registering has ever had a USA Swimming Membership and then click “Renew Member”) – CLICK HERE
