The success of the SH Senior training group is measured at national and international competitions. This is accomplished by focusing on the following objectives,

  • to prepare swimmers for national and international competition

  • to provide the necessary training and experience to successfully compete at that level

  • to attain maximum performance by developing each athlete to their fullest potential

  • to utilize every available scientific and technical resource, including videotaping and stroke analysis, dry-land training, nutrition, and strength and flexibility

  • to draw upon the services and expertise of our support network, including physical therapists, personal trainers, and the technical support staff of USA Swimming.

SH Seniors Requirements:

  • SH Seniors are expected to attend at least 6 practices per week, including one-weekday morning long course practice.

  • SH Seniors are expected to attend the highest-level season-ending meet that they qualify for.

  • SH Seniors are expected to maintain up-to-date practice logs.

  • SH Seniors are expected to arrive 15 minutes early for practice, stretching, and goal setting.

  • SH Seniors are expected to stay 15 minutes after practice, to stretch and maintain their practice logs.

  • SH Seniors are expected to participate in all group dryland sessions.

  • SH Seniors are expected to be positive role models and to demonstrate leadership, at all meets and social functions.

  • SH Seniors are expected to manage their outside commitments so as to not adversely impact their practice attendance or performance.
