Tollefson Swimming will offer a lifeguard class on 5/18 – 5/21 at Inverness Recreation Club (10820 Deborah Drive Potomac MD). Please see days and times in the registration form attached. First time certification is all 4 days; recertifications are Saturday only.

We do not provide lifeguarding opportunities; we only run a lifeguard class through a Red Cross certified instructor. If you are looking to work as a lifeguard this summer or already have a job lined up, you will need to be certified before working.

Anyone interested must be at least 15 years of age. To register, please complete the attached form and return to [email protected] electronically. Please be sure to complete all parts of the form. In the coming weeks, the instructor (Malka Ostchega) will send out additional information and pre-class work that must be completed.  

The fee for first-time certifications (full weekend) is $350. The fee for recertification (Saturday only) is $150. Upon registration, we will send you an invoice which must be paid in full to complete the registration and hold your spot. The fee covers all required materials for the class and processing of your red cross certification card. We have limited spots available and registration will be completed on a first come first serve basis.
