Potomac Valley Swimming

Mission of Victory Lane Aquatic Club (VLAC)

The principle mission of VLAC is to promote a healthy lifestyle for members by incorporating core social values through swimming. Swimmers are trained to become better athletes and encouraged to become future leaders in society.  VLAC creates a safe, healthy, and positive environment where swimmers can grow physically, emotionally and socially as individuals and seeks to instill the ideals of hard work, dedication, and perseverance into every swimmer.

VLAC was founded by Clayton Joyner in 2008. In its now fourth year of being sanctioned by PVS/USA Swimming,  VLAC has already produced Junior and Senior Champ qualifiers, Southern Sectional Qualifiers, and Jr. National Level Qualifiers. Shawn Mansfield succeeds Clayton Joyner as the second head coach of VLAC. Shawn has been coaching VLAC since 2012 and is a certified  PVS/USA Swimming Coach.
