We are a volunteer run organization and to be successful we must ALL work together to host the meets.  Job Sign Up and Swimmer Declaration are open and ready for sign ups.  You can find a meet schedule and schedule of special events at the bottom of the website homepage.


Description of Volunteer Roles

Set-Up Crew: Brings equipment and supplies from storage and sets it up on deck.

  • Experience: None required.
  • Arrival Time: Arrange with Club Manager.

Awards: Affixes award labels generated from Swimmingly onto appropriate ribbons/medals and place them in the swimmers' "ribbon folders."

  • Experience: None required.
  • Arrival Time: Arrange pick up of labels with parent reps, this job can be done at home after the meet

Chaperones: Supervise assigned age group swimmers in team areas, organize and deliver swimmers to Clerk of Course, pick up swimmers at completion of races.

  • Experience: Working knowledge of a swim meet, easy to learn on the job.
  • Arrival Time: 15 minutes prior to warm ups.

Clerk of Course: Organize and help swimmers get to the appropriate heats and lanes.

  • Experience: Working knowledge of a swim meet.
  • Arrival Time: Start of warm-ups.

Concessions: Helps with organization, set up, and oversight of food and beverage sales. Distributes water and snacks to volunteers, coaches, and officials on deck.

  • Experience: None required.
  • Arrival Time: 15 minutes prior to warm ups.

Scorekeeper: Checks, edits, and updates score within Swimmingly.

  • Experience: Tech savvy, training before start of season, time and date TBA
  • Arrival Time: Start of warm-ups.

Stroke & Turn: Checks for legality of swimmers' strokes and mechanics.

  • Experience: 2 hours of training before start of season, date and time TBA.
  • Arrival Time: Start of warm-ups.

Timer: Use smartphone to time or operate manual stop watch. Timers must attend a timer meeting 15-20 minutes before the start of the meet. There are two (2) timers per lane.

  • Experience: None required.
  • Arrival Time: Start of warm-ups.

 

 

How To Volunteer

1. Click the "Meets & Events" tab on our navigation toolbar.

2. Find the meet you will be attending. You will see two options. First: a red button that says "Edit Commitment." Second: a blue button that says "Job Signup." Click the "Job Signup" button. 

3. Find the position you would like to volunteer for. If the position is still available/vacant, it will be marked with a series of dashes.

4. To fill the vacancy, click the empty checkbox.

5. Scroll to the very bottom of the page and click "Signup."

And you're set! It's that easy!
