Jack Sorensen - Head Coach

Coach Jack has been involved in the swim community for over 30 years, in both competition and coaching.  Prior to joining LMYA, Jack was Head Coach at Danville Sea Devils for 10 years where his passion for rec swim took off.  After Danville, Jack took the Head Coaching position at Woodlands and the team advanced from last at County to 3rd overall.  Coach Jack is originally from Salinas where he grew up swimming and playing water polo.  His skills were further refined when he attended USC to play water polo and during his 15+ years on Walnut Creek Masters. In addition to coaching swim, Jack has also coached water polo for Dougherty Valley High School, San Ramon Valley High School and 680 Water Polo.  Jack is currently a Physical Education teacher at Dougherty Valley High School and resides in Concord.



Cal Brown - Assistant Coach

Coach Cal will be a junior at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where he is studying Kinesiology and is a Sprint Freestyler for Cal Poly Men’s Swim Team.  Cal grew up in Concord, CA and began swimming for Springwood Swim Club when he was 4 years old.  Cal moved to Aqua Bears when he was 11 years old where he swam year round for 8 years.  Cal has coached with Springwood Swim Club, has been an NCS finalist multiple times, is a Clayton Valley School record holder and CIF State qualifier and finalist.



Cole Griscavage - Assistant Coach

Coach Cole is from Lafayette and began his swim career with LMYA Swim when he was seven years old!   At 12, Cole began swimming year round for Orinda Aquatics and continues to swim for OA.  Cole has junior coached for LMYA Swim for the past 5 years.  He recently graduated from College Prep High School and will be attending Swathmore College in the fall where he also plans to swim.



Ryan Iannaccone - Assistant Coach

Coach Ryan grew up in Concord, CA and graduated from De La Salle High School in 2019. Ryan was a recreational swimmer from age 4 through 14. At 14, he joined Walnut Creek Aquabears.  Ryan is currently attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where he is part of their Division 1 swim team and Team Captain.  



Caragh Osborne - Assistant Coach

Coach Caragh began her swim career at the age of 6 and started water polo when she was 11 years old.   Caragh swam for LMYA Swim for over 7 years and junior coached for the last 5 years.  She was a 4 year varisty swimmer and water polo player at College Park High School, and 2-time captain for both.  Caragh attends Virginia Military Institute and is part of their swim and water polo teams!   



Morgan Salmon - Assistant Coach

Coach Morgan is from Lafayette and swam for LMYA Swim for more than 10 years!  Morgan has junior coached with LMYA for 5 years.  She attended Acalanes High School and played varsity softball for 4 years.  Morgan will attend Santa Clara University in the fall and will play softball.
