2019 Swim Clinics and Conditioning - Registration

Sunday Stroke Clinics AND/OR April Swim Conditioning (optional)


Open to experienced swimmers who want to refresh their stroke technique in advance of the summer swim season.




Sunday, March 3 - Sunday, April 28 (8 consecutive Sundays excluding Easter Sunday)

Stroke clinics are structured to provide high-quality stroke instruction to competitive summer-league swimmers and to refine stroke drills focused on proper stroke and turn techniques.  Overall, the goal of the clinic is to gain a technical foundation for a fantastic 2019 season.  The first session will start Sunday, March 3.  One stroke will be emphasized each Sunday for a total of 8 clinics (each stroke is covered twice, see format below).  You may sign up to attend all 8 clinics or pick 4 and choose which clinics you’d like to attend.


Sunday, 3/3 and 3/31:  FREE

Sunday, 3/10 and 4/7:  BREAST

Sunday, 3/17 and 4/14:  BACK

Sunday, 3/24 and 4/28:  FLY



8 & unders:        2:00pm – 2:45pm

9/10's:               2:45pm – 3:30pm

11 & ups:           3:15pm – 4:00pm



All 8 Clinic days - $185

4 of 8 Clinic days - $100


County Eligibility

As a reminder, to remain eligible for the Contra Costa County Championship Meet, no recreational swimmer can participate in lessons/clinics from 1/1/19 through 2/28/19 or in excess of 15 hours between 3/1/19 and 3/31/19. *Strong 6 year olds.  Clinics are for competitive swimmers who must be able to swim 25 yards of freestyle with proper side breathing (competitive swim team experience ideal, but not required). This is not a learn to swim program. 

Swimmers should attend the clinic based on the age they will swim as of June 15, 2019.

All swimmers are encouraged to attend the clinics - you do NOT need to be an LMYA Swim Team member to participate.  




April 9 - April 25 (every Tuesday and Thursday)

This 3-week program is designed to enhance the techniques we cover in clinics AND start to build proper form while focusing on the aerobic endurance aspect of training.  Spring Swim Conditioning is an excellent way to get a jump start on your season and start to get in shape while refining the skills necessary to have a successful summer season.  All LMYA swimmers are encouraged to attend!

CONDITIONING TIMES (4/9, 4/11, 4/16, 4/18, 4/23, 4/25):  

8 & unders:        3:30pm – 4:00pm

9/10's:               4:00pm – 4:45pm

11 & ups:           4:45pm – 5:30pm



All 6 conditioning days are for LMYA Swimmers only:  $125


Swimmers should attend the conditioning practice time based on the age they will swim as of June 15, 2019.
