2020 Private Lessons

June 1 - July 17, 2020

Acalanes High School Pool

Individual private lessons offer current LMYA swimmers an opportunity to work one-on-one with an LMYA coach to fine tune their stroke techniques, underwater, starts or turns.  Coaches’ lessons, in general, are 20 minutes each and will run from 11:30pm – 2:30pm at Acalanes at the conclusion of team practices from June 1- July 17th.

Scheduling Process

Lessons are booked, through Sign-up Genius, in 20 minute sessions for weekly blocks (depending on the coaches' available days).  This means that when you sign up for a time slot with a coach, you have that same time slot on their schedule for the entire week (whichever days the coach has designated in that week).  Payment is due in full for the week of lessons on the first day of the lesson.

All swim team members will receive an email notification and a link to the Sign-up Genius generally a week in advance notifying you that lessons are available for sign up.

Policies and Payment Process

  • Payment is due the first day of the lesson – and should be made either in cash or check payable directly to the coach.

  • Checks may be left in the coach's file in the family file cabinet (top drawer).  Cash must be handed directly to the coach.

  • Once you sign up, you are committed to the schedule AND to the payment to the coach whether or not your swimmer can make it.

  • There are no make-up sessions and we cannot issue refunds for late arrivals or no-shows.

  • Coaches try to run on time.  Late arrivals will not push subsequent lessons late.

  • Arrive a few minutes in advance of your scheduled lesson time so your swimmer is ready to be IN THE WATER at the start time of your lessons.

  • SIGN UP NOW:  Lessons are available on a first come, first served basis but are limited to two weeks per swimmer per coach to ensure all swim team members have access to private lessons.  If there is space available, swimmers may be placed in additional lessons.
