Talli Pitcher

Head Coach, 11-12 Lead Coach

I am currently an Aquatics Supervisor I for the Pleasant Hill Recreation & Park District. I started coaching for the Dolfins Swim Team in 2003. I am currently the Head Coach for the Dolfins, as well as the lead coach for the 11-12 age group, Fall Swim Program, Spring Clinics, Pre Swim Team and Competitive Stroke Lessons. I am also a certified American Red Cross Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor. I help to hire, train, schedule and manage all of our lifeguards and swim instructors. I have a passion for the sport of swimming and enjoy teaching all ages and abilities. I began swimming on Montclair Swim Team at the age of 7 and continued for 12 years. I was an All City Varsity swimmer at Skyline High School for 4 years. I was a DVC All American for 2 years and ended my competitive swimming with 2 years as a Pac Ten and NCAA All American at Cal Berkeley graduating with a degree in Architecture. My 3 sons swam for the Dolfins and my daughter will be returning from college to complete her final season. I am very excited that my granddaughter will be joining the team this year as well!

Ares Elmore

15-18 Lead Coach

Being around pools almost non-stop since I was 4, I've been involved with swimming, lifeguarding and coaching for various teams and groups. Joining the Dolfin Staff, I want to bring my interests of water physics and stroke management together to improve technique in an easy (and hopefully fun) way!

Mirelle Augst

13-14 Lead Coach

I first started my swimming career with Vallejo Aquatic Club when I was 4, which is where I first started coaching when I was 16. Senior year of high school I began swimming for the Walnut Creek Aquabears, which is where I currently swim during the college off-season. While I swam for and attended DVC, I was also able to gain more coaching experience from coaching my former high school, St. Patrick-St. Vincent HS. I'm just finishing my first season of swimming for UCSC, where I’m studying Earth and Marine sciences. Outside of swimming I enjoy going to the beach, hiking, and skiing in the winter.

Ateluk Arechy

I grew up in Hawaii and it was there I developed a passion for the sport of swimming. I have competed in USA swimming for over 10 years and have been a part of teams such as the Walnut Creek Aquabears and the Concord Terrapins. I was Varsity all four years of high school and was Captain of the team my junior and senior years. I then swam for two years at Diablo Valley College and will look to continue competing when I transfer to University of Hawaii this Fall. My favorite races are the 200 IM and the 100 Freestyle. I have taught swim lessons for four Years and was voted Swim Instructor of the year at Cunningham pool in Vallejo. Last Year was my first year coaching and I am thrilled to be returning for another year.

Ciera Kirby

6 and Under Lead Coach

I was introduced to water at a very young age and it quickly became a passion of mine. My fondest memories growing up involved pools, lakes, rivers and oceans. Once I got to High School, I swam and played water polo at College Park. My love for Water Polo continued as I played for local club teams. When I was 16, I began working for Pleasant Hill Rec & Park, where I taught swim lessons and that is what brought me to coaching. I love every minute of coaching the 6 & Under swimmers on the Dolfins.

Carol Madsen

Assistant Coach

I love swimming, and have been involved in competitive swimming since I was 10. At that time I swam AAU. I was able to swim through college where I swam for Brigham Young University. After graduation I married and had 4 sons, who all swam on the Dolfins. In 1989 I started coaching high school swimming in Utah and went back to school at BYU to earn a double minor in PE - Sports and PE - Coaching. I have coached high school a total of 22 years (16 of which were at College Park), USS (now USA swimming) for about 7 years, and on the Dolfins for 11 years. I have 9 granchildren. My 4 grandsons swim on the Dolfins at this time. We love the Dolfins and swimming with all of you.
