WRMS (White Rock Masters Swimmers) is an aquatic fitness program that offers one hour workouts to members who are looking for a fun, flexible, exercise program where everyone feels welcome. For those who enjoy swimming competition in a pool or in open water or as a triathlete, we are a member of United States Masters Swimmers. Others, who may not be interested in competition but are looking to learn to swim, learn to swim better, get fit and live healthy, will feel right at home. White Rock Masters Swimming will help you begin the push toward your dream state of fitness or performance using a three pronged approach to better health and fitness – stroke technique, conditioning, and sports nutrition.

The WRMS coaching staff is focused on each swimmer’s improvement and success. Coaches are there to help with stroke technique and to offer a training program that builds in steps from beginner to advanced.

Head Coach, Jeff Veazey, is a Level II Masters Swimming Coach, a Level II Age Group Coach and a Certified Stroke Technician by the American Swimming Coaches Association. Jeff is a long-time Dallas, age group, high school and masters swim coach. As a masters swimmer, he finished in the Top 10 in 5 events at the 2000 Long Course Masters Nationals.

United States Masters Swimming

WRMS began in September of 2011 and became a United States Masters Swimming club in 2013. Members of WRMS are required to join USMS, with an annual low cost membership. Join USMS here: https://www.usms.org/login-to-registration-page

USMS offers supplemental insurance, a great magazine, “SWIM”, aimed at adult swimmers with swim training, technique, and nutrition articles and also e-newsletters about swimming. Your USMS membership is your ticket to swim with a USMS club wherever you travel (a drop in fee may apply). USMS membership also offers the opportunity, though not required, to swim in friendly competitions in pools and in open water on the local, regional, national, and international level.  Many masters swimmers worldwide have enjoyed the camaraderie of traveling to the Virgin Islands, Hawaii or Greece for a spectacular open water swimming experience or to great cities like San Diego, Palo Alto, Ft. Lauderdale or Las Vegas for Masters Nationals.
