Following the orders of Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and the Ohio Department of Health, masks will no longer be required to be worn beginning on June 2. Everyone should continue to socially distance, utilize good hand hygiene, and stay home if you are ill.

CDC Mask Guidance & Clarification

  • What if I am not vaccinated? The CDC recommends unvaccinated persons should continue to wear a mask. For DARTS, we will utilize the honor system.
  • What if I am partially vaccinated? The CDC recommends you continue to wear a mask until your vaccine reaches its full level of effectiveness (generally two weeks after your second dose or two weeks after you receive the one-dose vaccine).
  • What if I have a young child? CDC guidance states that masks are recommended for non-vaccinated youth and those ages 2-12.
  • What if I am more comfortable wearing a mask? You may continue to wear a mask if you prefer to do so.

For home meets, including time trial June 12, there is no restriction on number of spectators. We request respect to social distance protocol between athletes and parents outside their family group. The Jack Florance Pool will be closed to the public on home meet dates.

To those returning for another season, welcome back. Your support is appreciated. If this is your first season in the DARTS program, hang on. It will be a whirlwind of experiences for both the athlete and the parents. The bottom line for DARTS is to “Have Big Fun.” With everyone cooperating, being supportive of teammates experienced and new, applying yourself in training and competing with a smile on your face, a neat time can be had. Welcome to the 2021 Stingray season.
