Hello, LPSC members!

THANK YOU for a fantastic (almost) week at the pool—I was especially happy to see so many members taking advantage of the new basketball hoops and volleyball/badminton net in the lower level (also tether ball and shuffleboard).  If you haven’t had a chance to check out the lower level yet, hopefully you can this week.

I will send an email each week letting members know what’s in store for the week(s) ahead.  Again, should you have any questions or concerns during the season, please do not hesitate to reach out to me in person while you’re at the pool, by email (Lepster04@verizon.net) or feel free to call the pool during our regular operating hours (484-422-8663).  Should you have questions for members of the board, their contact information can be found HERE.

Tomorrow Delaware County heads into the GREEN phase of re-opening.

·        Most of our operating procedures stay the same, but I have a few updates below.

·       See the very bottom of this communication for a reminder of our standard operating procedures.

·        Please understand that in GREEN we are STILL wearing MASKS at entry, exit and in high traffic areas (locker room, ordering from the snack bar)

·        Our staff will also continue to maintain our disinfecting schedule for the bathrooms, slide, diving board, high touch surfaces (railings, ladders, play ground, swings).

·         Chairs—

o   Approximately 50% of our upright and lounge chairs will be set up at the pool starting Friday, June 26th

o   Friday, July 3rd we will add more chairs.

o   If you would like your chair disinfected, please come to the front desk and request that—the COVID Guard or manager will disinfect your chair(s) for you.

·         Showers—

o   Will be turned ON again starting Friday, June 26th

o   We are still STRONGLY encouraging patrons to use the locker room sparingly.

o   Please do not enter the locker room if there are already 4+ people in there.

o   Please only shower if you are not heading home right after the pool.  If you are heading home, please shower at home.

·         Birthday Parties—

o   Are available starting Monday, July 6th.

o   CLICK HERE to schedule a birthday party.  You fill out this Google Form and will be contacted within 48 hours by a manager confirming that the time you requested is available.

o   If you would prefer to book your party in person, just go to the front desk and the desk attendant or manager will fill out the form for you.  You will still need to wait to hear from a manager that the time you requested is approved.

o   Birthday parties will set up in the “ping pong pavilion” (near the diving well), they will not be permitted to use the snack bar as we cannot crowd that indoor space.

·         Private & Sem-Private Swim Lessons—

o   Are available starting Monday, July 6th

o   CLICK HERE to sign up for lessons.  You fill out this Google Form and will be contacted by one of our life guards.  You and the guard will set up lessons at a time when the pool is open that is mutually convenient/agreed upon.

o   If you would prefer to sign up in person, just go to the desk with your information and the desk attendant or manager will fill out the form for you.

o   Instructors are required to wear a plastic face shield to mitigate disease transmission.

o   Swimmers (children taking the lesson) are NOT permitted to wear any kind of face mask in the pool.

o   Cost:

§  Private Lessons (1 swimmer)—$20 per half hour

§  Semi Private Lessons (2 siblings, only if both are water safe)—$25 per half hour

·         Weekend Guests—

o   Members can start bringing guests (2 per family) on weekends on Saturday, July 11th.

o   Members can bring weekday guests any time (4 per family)

·         Flick & Floats—

o   Tentatively scheduled for Monday, July 6th and Wednesday, July 15th

§  Space will be limited to 200 persons

§  2 Guests per member family will be permitted, when the member family is signing up, they’ll have to say how many is in their group—we will cap the sign ups at 200.

§  More details to come on July 1 when the sign up link is sent out!

Again, if you have an immediate concern while at the club please see the manager on duty or the “COVID Guard” in the yellow shirt!

Have a great week!

Steps Taken by LPSC for YOUR Safety

·        A specific staff member during all club operational hours that will answer patron questions, periodically disinfect bathrooms and high touch surfaces (ladders, railings, swings) through out the day.  Look for the staff member in the yellow shirt!

·        Plexiglass barriers installed at the front desk and snack bar counter.

·        Hand Sanitizer stations in the snack bar and at the front desk.

·        Safe disinfectant available at the snack bar should a patron want to disinfect a picnic table prior to eating.  Staff members will also periodically clean tables.

·        Removal of card and board game rentals.  We still have ping pong, shuffle board and basketballs!  Equipment will be disinfected after each use.

·        Markers have been placed 6 feet apart for patrons to wait in line for the diving board and slide.

Arrival

·        All patrons 3 years and older must wear a mask at entry and all patrons will have their temperature taken.  Anyone with a temperature above 100.4 ° will not be permitted to enter.

·        Patrons 12 years and older are eligible to stay at LPSC by themselves, but whoever brings them to the pool needs to wait until the child’s temperature is taken before they depart.

·        We have an extra staff member to assist the desk attendant, but should their be a line at the entrance, please maintain a 6 foot distance between your family and the family in front of you.

·        NO Guests for opening weekend.  Guests are permitted during the week and will most likely be permitted starting the weekend of June 27-28 as Delaware Co. will be in the “Green Phase” at that point.

While at the Club

·        Masks should be worn when inside the locker room, when in line and ordering at the snack bar, or when speaking to a staff member with whom you cannot socially distance.

·        Masks are optional while on the deck, playground or lower level.

·        Masks are NOT permitted while in the main or baby pool.

·        Our typical pool rules are still in effect— CLICK HERE for LPSC Rules.

·        Life guards are in place for patron safety in the pool, on the deck and on the surrounding grounds.  Parents are responsible for their child(ren)’s behavior while at the club—it is a parent responsibility to ensure that their child maintains social distance from other patrons as the parent sees fit.
