First Meet of the Season - Information You Need

Our first meet is almost here!

The kids are all excited and we want to make sure everyone is ready!

Declare your swimmer(s):

Please be sure to sign up @ no later than Wednesday 5/29. Meet sheets will be out later this week; be sure to print out your copy and mark up your 8 & Under swimmers.

Meet Logistics:

The meet this weekend will be for 3 way meet at the Dana Hills pool

(298 Mountaire Cir, Clayton, CA 94517).

Please be sure to pack plenty of water, snacks and sunscreen. The forecast for Saturday is in the 80’s, so we want to make sure our swimmers stay cool and hydrated. Please plan for a potentially longer meet with 3 teams competing vs. a typical dual meet. And don’t forget to proudly display our Otter BLACK for this away meet!

The Dana Hills team has compiled a list of important information for our team, listed below. We have also included a map of the pool for reference. Parking will be tight; please plan to arrive early and/or carpool if possible.


  • Team set up begins at 7:00am
  • Our swimmers will warm-up between 7:45am - 8:15am
  • Meet starts at 9:00am


*No parking in the front driveway or in the four reserved spots in the back lot

Setting up:

*Team pop-up space is limited – please plan to share

*The WHO area is on the slope and upper grass area – other areas are reserved for the MVP and DH Swim Teams

*Pop up tents are only allowed in the grass area next to the field. They are not allowed on the pool deck or on the terraced grass section behind the blocks.

During the Meet:

*To optimize traffic flow and decrease the noise level, only swimmers and coaches go behind the blocks and on the terraced grass.

*Parents – please pay attention to the announcer and calls for all 8&Unders to line up with their shepherds. Only shepherds and coaches will be allowed behind the blocks behind the roped off area. Each team’s shepherds will line up their kids in their team area then bring them to the blocks. Please do not line up your swimmers on the pool deck.

*No spectators are allowed on the deck/Lane 1 side of the pool. The viewing area for races is along Lane 8.

Snack Shack (cash/Visa/Mastercard accepted)

Breakfast: Bacon or Sausage Burritos, Bagels and Cream Cheese, Donuts, Hardboiled eggs, Pancakes and Sausage, Oatmeal, Scones, Fruit Cup, Muffins, GF coffee cake

Lunch: Burgers, hot dogs, teriyaki chicken bowl, quesadillas, Caesar salad with and without grilled chicken, soft pretzels, Cup O Noodle, Fruit Smoothies
