Coach Wyatt Moore Co-Headcoach

Hello all WHO swimmers and parents! My name is Wyatt Moore, I’m 18 years old, and I will be a second year coach for the team this summer. I am currently a first year mechanical engineering major at UC Davis. I grew up in Walnut Creek and have been swimming for the Otters since I was 5 years old. Some highlights of my swim career are winning age group MVP 7 times, breaking 6 WHO team and pool records, winning Conference meet MVP when I was 14, and, my personal favorite, winning the Ollie Otter award last year! I’ll be swimming in my last year of 15/18’s this summer and I myself am excited to get coached by the excellent coaches we have this year. My specialty strokes are freestyle and backstroke, but I still love to swim and teach breaststroke and butterfly  when I get the chance. I can’t wait to create fun experiences and make great memories with all WHO swimmers, coaches, and parents this year! As always, LUTZGONUTZ and GO WHO!

Coach Alexa Kennedy Assistant Coach

Hey team! I am so excited to come back to the pool after just finishing my first year at San Diego State University. I swam with the Walnut Heights Otters for ten years, starting as a 7/8. Throughout my swimming career I have earned the 9/10 girls Conference High Point award, multiple age group MVP awards, and the Ollie Otter award. This is my eleventh year with the team, fifth year coaching, and the first year that I will be strictly on the pool deck. As a kid I always looked up to my coaches, and I cannot wait to continue coaching and help young swimmers reach the best of their abilities. The WHO team is an amazing way to make new friends and have fun. This coming season, I will work with our other coaches to make this summer lots of fun and full of spirit! See you all on the pool deck!

Coach Rachel Eger Junior Coach

Hey Otters! My name is Rachel Eger and I am so excited to be coaching this summer! I am a sophomore at Las Lomas and have been on WHO since I was a 9/10, but I have been swimming since I was 5. Swimming has been my favorite sport since I was little, and I've been an otter pup coach since I was 11. My favorite stroke is backstroke, and I received the high point award at conference as a 13/14. Growing up I've always looked up to my coaches, so I'm super excited to be a junior coach this summer, and have a great season! Go WHO!

Coach Teagan Claus Junior Coach

Hi, my name is Teagan Claus and I’m so excited to be coaching this year! I have been swimming on WHO since otter pups and I’m currently a 15-18 now. Through the summers of swimming on the otters I always looked up to my coach’s and I’m hoping for the young swimmers this year to do the same. Besides swimming, I love to play soccer, waterpolo, and hang out with friends and family. I got coach’s award one year, and a couple years ago I got most improved. I started as an otter pup coach and moved to a junior coach because I enjoy being around kids while teaching them new skills and seeing them improve. With the coaches and team I am looking forward to creating a summer full of fun and spirt!

Coach Matt Martin Junior Coach

I am a student at Las Lomas High School and will be graduating in 2023. I have been swimming with WHO since I was 8. Through my experiences on swim I grew to become a county swimmer as well as a part of the 15-18 record breaking relay team in 2021. On top of WHO swim, I have taken part in swim team at Las Lomas as well as water polo. After high school I hope to attend college in souther California to pursue a career in environmental engineering. Go WHO!
