LTST Swimmer Responsibilities for the 2021 Season

  • Attend practice as much as possible.  Daily swim practice is important for swimmers to learn stroke technique and to build strength and  stamina, as well as to build rapport with teammates and coaches.

  • Twice weekly meets are an important part of swim team.  Do your best to swim whatever and whenever you are asked by the coach.

  • Check the meet program so you know which events you are swimming.

  • Encourage all team members to do their best.  Everyone is important to our team and our goal is to help everyone achieve his or her best.

  • Older swimmers should set a good example for younger team members.

  • Do not destroy or damage members’ items, pool equipment, or facilities at home or away. Inconsiderate or damaging behavior may result in barring swimmer from meets or possible expulsion from the team (without refunds).  Never climb or play on pool cover rollers. (Parents of older swimmers may be required to attend meets and social event to ensure that these guidelines are respected.)

  • HAVE FUN.  GO SEAHORSES!

LTST Parent Responsibilities for the 2021 Season

Parent Job requirements will be outlined at our Parent Meeting on April 8, 2021 at 7:00 PM.  Details that are not available at the outset of the season will be provided as they are finalized.

Typically, the Parent Job requirement includes:

  • A designated number of job "points" at meets or social events
  • Provide lunch for the Coaches one time during the season with a partner family
  • Perform one job during the DCSL Championship meet (July 17, 2021)
  • Optional invitational meets may require additional parent work.

Please stay tuned for more information about the job requirements.

Note: Families that only have Mudskippers/Developmental Seahorses or only have 15-18 swimmers are not required to work any jobs.  The job requirement is subject to change based on total number of meets and the number of LT swim team families registered for the season.

Star Job holders do not work the standard Parent Jobs, but DO provide Coaches' Lunch and work Invitational Jobs if applicable.

More information will be available on the Parent Jobs tab as we get closer to the season.

Private Lessons

We hope to offer Las Trampas swim team members the opportunity to supplement their regular practice schedule with private lessons, with our  assistant coaches.  Lessons are planned to begin the week of June 7th and will take place in the afternoon after 6&U practice ends.  A separate charge applies. Please stay tuned for information regarding private lessons.
