Jadyn Schensky
Head Swim Coach
[email protected]

I'm Jadyn, and I can't wait to be back with the Waves for another great summer! A little bit about me...I first got into swimming when I joined the Waves swim team way back in 2011 when the team first started. I was a competitive swimmer for 11 years. Now I am a collegiate rower at the University of Wisconsin. I will be starting my junior year next fall majoring in Kinesiology with a certificate in athletic healthcare. I am super passionate about helping athletes improve athletically and become better teammates by promoting fun and good sportsmanship. I’m looking forward to working with the team and having an awesome summer!

Kate is a long-time friend of the Goodman Pool and Waves. She has taught lessons for over a decade and has been the Goodman Head Dive Coach for many years. She dove for Monona Swim & Dive Club for 8 years. Teaching kids is her passion. She loves helping kids and showing them that they can do things they didn't believe they could do. For her, there's no greater feeling then when a kid gains confidence. Kate enjoys spending time with her son and family. They enjoy being outside, going swimming, riding bikes, and going on adventures.

My name is Ella Thomas and I am looking forward to the Goodman Waves swim season! I swam competitively for around 8 years at Shorewood/Goodman, BAC and West High School. My favorite part of swim team is cheering loudly for my swimmers when they race! I have always loved the crazy, fun, and supportive atmosphere that summer swimming has to offer and I am excited to coach this summer.

In my free time, I enjoy making pottery, walking my dogs, and hammocking with friends. During the school year, I attend UW-Madison to study Civil Engineering.

Ellie Kohlhepp
Swim Coach

Hi, I’m Ellie! This is my second year coaching for the Waves and I was a swimmer on the team for seven years. Although I began competitive swimming in middle school, I have been swimming since a very young age. I have always loved being in the water and outdoors. I decided to be a coach because I love working with kids and I want to give the swimmers the same amazing Waves’ experience my coaches gave to me.

I just finished my first year at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities where I am majoring in genetics and minoring in neuroscience. I have been involved in cheer, dance and track. In my free time, I enjoy reading, hammocking outside, and dancing to Taylor Swift. I can’t wait for another great summer with the Waves!! :)

Lily Wong

Hi, I’m Lily! This will be my first summer coaching and my 10th summer swimming for the Goodman Waves. I also swim competitively for Badger Aquatics Club (BAC) and West High School. This fall, I will attend Carleton College and will also swim for Carleton. I highly value the experience I’ve had as a Waves swimmer, and want to give back to the team. I’m super excited to work with all the kids this summer and know we will have loads of fun!

In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing Ultimate frisbee, hanging out with friends, and making pottery and stained glass.

Micah Asplund

Hi my name is Micah! This is my first season coaching the dive team however I have been a diver on the team for the last five years. I also dove for West High School for four years. I’m really glad to be back with the team this year and to be able to coach all of the awesome Goodman Waves divers!
