CLERK OF COURSE
Area of pool where swimmers go to get their cards (which tells the swimmer which heat and which lane they will be swimming). It is also a parent who prior to the meet, determines the number of heats needed for each event and assigns the swimmers to specific lanes and heats.
HEAT RIBBONS
Hands out a Heat Winner Ribbon to winner of each heat of each event.
POSTING
Reviews printed results and posts the official results of each event received from the scorer.
RUNNERS
Take the timer sheets from the timers and give them to the Results Writer at the scoring table.
STARTER
The Head Official is responsible for starting each event and running the meet. He/She is the only person who can call a false start, also acts as a Stroke & Turn official if there are not enough officials. He/She can also overrule another official.
STROKE & TURN OFFICIAL
He/She has the responsibility to judge stroke mechanics, touches, turns and finishes.
TIMERS
Using Dolphin and Manual stop watches provided by the team, they actually time each event and the recording Timer of each lane writes all Manual stop watch times on the timer slips. It is from these times that the places of each event are determined.
