Coaches and Directors
Coach Jon started working at Hawks Landing in 2009. He grew up on the west side of Madison, and swam at Ridgewood, the YMCA, and one year at Madison Memorial. He is currently a first grade teacher at Stephens Elementary and also coaches for Badger Aquatics Swim Team.! When Jon is not at the pool, he spends his time fishing, working on projects, or playing with his dog, Brody. Jon has enjoyed ALL of his years at Hawks and is looking forward to this upcoming summer.
This is Jack’s first summer at Hawks Landing! Jack is a rising Junior at Luther College in Decorah, IA. Jack is a member of the Luther College Swim Team, Dive Team, and Soccer Team. 2x National Qualifier on 1 Meter and 3 Meter boards. Along with National Tournament Qualifier in soccer. He is also an alum of the Memorial HS Swim & Dive Team, Spent 14 years in All-City League as a Parkcrest Penguin. After 2 years as Assistant Dive Coach, and 2 years as Co-Head Dive Coach at Parkcrest. Jack is excited to coach at Hawks this summer. Jack says he loves the atmosphere and excitement kids get when competing in the all-city league. Getting to see the kids learn and grow so much from the sports is amazing. His favorite dive is a Back 1 ½ flip, with 2 ½ Twist off the 3-meter board.
Gabby’s first swim team experience was in 2007 competing for Hawks, and she has loved the sport ever since! She graduated from Verona Area High School in 2019 where she was part of the Verona Area Mount Horeb women’s swim team, and qualified for the WIAA Division 1 State Meet every year she was on the team. During her high school years she swam for Madison Aquatic Club. Gabby is currently part of the swim team at Grand Valley State University located outside of Grand Rapids, Michigan. She could not be more excited for her first season of coaching!
This will be Gianna's second summer coaching at Hawks! She has been club swimming the past 11 years. This year, Gianna graduated from Verona Area High School where she was a varsity swimmer. This fall, she will be attending UW-Whitewater and will be part of the swim team. Gianna is excited for the upcoming season!
Dana is very excited to be the assistant dive coach at Hawks this summer. She has been on the dive team for ten years, this will be her eleventh season competing and first season coaching. Dana will be graduating Middleton High School this June and continuing her education at Ripon College in the fall. When she is not at Hawks, Dana enjoys thrifting, playing with her dogs and spending time outdoors. She cannot wait for the start of the season to see all of the returning divers and welcome all of the new faces!
Alex will begin her first year as a swim coach with Hawks in summer of 2022. She has also coached for Badger Aquatics Club since spring of 2021 and grew up swimming for Black River Falls and Northern Lakes Aquatics Club. She was brought to the Madison area to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she is now a graduate student studying Speech-Language Pathology. Alex is excited for her first season with Hawks!
